Do you drive particularly safely and with foresight? With the Generali telematics app, you can easily make additional savings as part of our car insurance for cars with your personal, individual driving style if you have already completed our telematics module before July 1st, 2022.

The Generali telematics app automatically determines a personal score for your own driving behavior based on your acceleration and braking behavior and your speed, among other things, and gives you further tips for safe and economical driving behavior.

No permanently installed telematics box required in the car

To register as a user of the Generali telematics app, Generali Deutschland Versicherung AG gave you a telematics ID with your insurance certificate. Together with an activation code that you received in a separate post, you can log into the Generali telematics app.

In order to be able to carry out an evaluation using the score value for the first time, at least 400 km must be recorded with the Generali telematics app. A score value is determined from all the trips recorded up to that point as an evaluation of your individual driving behavior, which is taken into account for the premium reduction scale in our telematics module.

If the score value determined for the first time leads to a telematics discount, this will be taken into account from the 1st of the following month through an addendum to your vehicle contract. After this initial classification, the discount is always recalculated on the main due date of the contract based on the then current score value. From this point in time, you must have at least 2,000 km recorded in the insurance year using the Generali telematics app in the following years. Only trips from the last 365 days are included in the score.

Keep in mind that the permanent activation of the GPS sensor affects the battery consumption.
